Schools are ordered by the median earnings of their English graduates four years after completing, highest first. Only schools with a reported English earnings cohort in the West appear. The figure is the median earnings of federally aided English graduates who were working and not enrolled, measured four years after completing. For 13 of the 101 listed programs the figure is the two-year completion median rather than the four-year one. The metric does not adjust for graduate school enrollment, cost, or who enrolls, and it is not a measure of teaching quality. The range and median below cover the 96 schools with a published figure. Stanford University reports $82,036, a gap of $13,284 above University of San Diego at $68,752.
