## How this list is ordered

Schools first had to sit at or above the 60th percentile on Azimuth's mobility pillar; those that qualified are ordered by the school's median earnings of all students ten years after entry, highest first, as set out on [Azimuth's methodology page](/methodology/#ranked-lists). The median covers all federally aided students at the institution who were working and not enrolled, measured ten years after entry. The figure does not adjust for graduate school enrollment, cost, or who enrolls, and it is not a measure of teaching quality. The range and median below cover the 86 schools with a published figure. Georgetown University leads Emory University by $23,357 in median earnings ten years after entry, and the spread from Georgetown University to the bottom of the list is $64,570.
