Privacy Policy

College Azimuth is a free research site with no accounts, sign-in or saved lists. We do not run advertising or marketing pixels, and we never sell personal data. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to understand how the site is used. This policy applies to collegeazimuth.com and is published by Azimuth Analysis LLC.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs to deliver and secure the site: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. We use these logs to operate the site, diagnose errors and protect it from abuse.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. They set no cookies and do not track you across other sites. They record the page visited, the referring page, your country, and your browser and device type, reported in aggregate; a daily, non-reversible identifier lets them count unique visits without storing your IP address. We do not use advertising tools.

We also use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to understand which pages people use and how they find the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID; they hold a random identifier that lets it recognize a returning browser, and they expire after up to two years. It records the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google processes this data on our behalf.

If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you include in the message, and use it only to reply and to improve the site.

Figures come from federal and institution-reported data. Explanatory text on school and ranking pages is AI-assisted drafting checked against those figures. No personal information about visitors is used to produce or train that content.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that operate the site on our behalf, such as Vercel for hosting and Google for analytics, or where the law requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information about you. Email Daniel@collegeazimuth.com and we will respond. To opt out of Google Analytics, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works fully without them.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

The site is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, server logs and analytics data are processed in the United States.

We will update this page, and the date at the top, before any change in what the site collects.
